Weight loss is a hot topic of conversation all over America these days. There's a new fad diet every other day. You hear about anything from a cabbage soup diet to using surgery for weight loss. Whatever happened to good old fashioned exercise for keeping fit.

Way back when simply running and weight loss was the in thing to do. Now I am not saying that you need to run full out as if a bear were chasing you to lose weight. Running and weight loss still work and actually preform quite well in keeping you fit.

Running and weight loss has a few other benifits as well. Running and weight loss can also speed up your metabolism which also aids in raising the amount of weight you lose. Running and weight loss also helps by bringing more oxygen to your blood and brain. The weight loss part of it then relieves alot of pressure on your back and joints, which again helps in your overall fitness. Running and weight loss may be old school but it's still top of the class as far as keeping fit.
